Professor Maggie Bassett and Dr. Sarah Strauss accompanied 4 undergraduate nursing students and one recent graduate from the RU BSN program to the People’s Republic of China .  Students and faculty completed 4 weeks of studying Traditional Chinese Medicine at Nantong University in Nantong before traveling to Hangzhou, Xian, and Beijing.  Both faculty presented lectures to the students and faculty at the Nantong University School of Nursing.  Professor Bassett provided an overview of Radford University and the School of Nursing followed by a lecture on integrating community experiences into an undergraduate nursing program, and Dr. Strauss lectured on child health promotion in the United States.  The visit to Nantong University in Jiangsu Province was part of an exchange agreement between Radford University School of Nursing and the Nantong University School of Nursing.
