Guidelines for Member Request for Funds

Epsilon Psi Chapter has established a Project Fund to help support active members in projects that entail out of pocket expenses. Applications will be accepted from any active member of Epsilon Psi during the calendar year and reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year. The Project Fund awards will be made based upon the individual merits of the projects submitted and based upon the number of project applications received, funding may be awarded.

Members who receive project funding are expected to provide a written summary of the project that is suitable for printing in the Epsilon Psi Newsletter. The summary should include the literature review, the conceptual foundation, the methodology, findings and discussion of their project and how the Project Funds were used. In addition, the member will present a report of the project as a program. The member receiving funds will also be encouraged to submit an abstract of their project for presentation at an appropriate professional meeting.

Applicants must provide 1) an outline and description of the project for which they are seeking funds, 2) objectives for the project (evidence based practice or research), 3) methodology and implementation plan, 4) proposed budget for the project, and 5) how the project will promote Sigma Theta Tau's objective to promote the dissemination of knowledge and findings that have implications for nursing practice, research, and education.

Please complete the Application for Member Request for Project Funds and submit to:

Kereen Mullenbach, Epsilon Psi Treasurer, Radford University School of Nursing, Box 6964, Radford, Virginia 24142.

A committee of members of Epsilon Psi Chapter will review the applications. Applicants will be notified within four weeks of receipt of their application.
